Tasha Zgambo

Communications Officer, WVD Zambia.

I studied Chemical and Biological Sciences, a world of formulas and structure, but life had other equations in mind for me. I’ve always followed curiosity more than convention, which is how I found myself drawn to stories, systems, and spaces that make people feel seen.

My first job was as a property manager, running an Airbnb and a boarding house full of strangers who quickly became characters in my life story. One of them would later recommend me for a role at WVD Zambia, and in April 2025, I started working here. Life is funny like that: nothing wasted, everything woven.

Before that, I spent years serving in church media and administration. It all began when someone said, “You speak well. Try reading the news on Sunday.” I did. That moment lit a spark, and soon I was writing scripts, sound engineering, coordinating the arts team, and learning how powerful a voice, used well, can be.

I come from a very large family… the beautiful, noisy, generous kind. They’ve taught me patience, gratitude, and how to hold space for others. But in all the love and fullness, I’ve grown to crave something smaller for myself: a joyful home, meaningful work, deep connection.

At work, I care about clarity, kindness, and doing things with heart. At my core, I believe that excellence is deeply human. It shows up in how we speak to each other, how we honour our responsibilities, and how we leave people feeling when the work is done. Where impact isn’t just about numbers, but about the lives we touch and the stories we shape.

And that’s the kind of work we try to do, every day.
