Starting at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday evening and continuing through to Friday at 5 p.m. we launch a 24 hour conversation with hundreds of participants throughout the world. In 2021, the date is November 18-19.
Our objective is to share stories, meet providers, visit with men and women who are choosing vasectomies, exchange ideas with leaders in sexual and reproductive health and screen films and animations.
In 2020, we commissioned a visual poem to capture the essence of WVD.
As WVD grows, we are continuously developing new ideas to better address the needs of our providers and our partners.
The Academy, set to launch a phase one in 2021, will combine virtual and in person training for doctors and partnering organizations throughout the world, including Ministries of Health. Eventually, it will include direct service provision, support MohS to set universal standards, develop demand generation campaigns and communication strategies and collaborate with local, national and international partners to support advocacy, and research.

With over 1000 providers from 30+ countries doing thousands of vasectomies each year, WVD has emerged as the largest male focused family planning movement in the world.
Since launching in 2013, we have trained providers, formed strategic alliances with public health organizations and Ministries of Health and combined storytelling and interactive communication technology to inspire men to be compassionate partners to themselves, their families and our future.
