As WVD grows, we are continuously developing new ideas to better address the needs of our providers and our partners.

The Academy, set to launch a phase one in 2021, will combine virtual and in person training for doctors and partnering organizations throughout the world, including Ministries of Health. Eventually, it will include direct service provision, support MohS to set universal standards, develop demand generation campaigns and communication strategies and collaborate with local, national and international partners to support advocacy, and research.

In the first phase, set to begin in 2021, our focus is on provider training.  Objectives and activities include:

  • WVD LECTURE SERIES
  • ANNUAL HALF DAY WVD VASECTOMY PROVIDER SUMMIT
  • ONLINE COURSE
A full course (offered online) for learning the basics of vasectomy, including matters of technical, ethical and practical concern.
  • VASECTOMY PROVIDER DIRECTORY
  • VASECTOMY MISSIONS
  • VASECTOMY GOOGLE GROUP
The group members include over 500 of the most skilled, committed and interested vasectomy providers in the world. Daily posts provide invaluable information and all questions are answered by fellow members in lively and supportive exchanges.

With over 1000 providers from 30+ countries doing thousands of vasectomies each year, WVD has emerged as the largest male focused family planning movement in the world.

Since launching in 2013, we have trained providers, formed strategic alliances with public health organizations and Ministries of Health and combined storytelling and interactive communication technology to inspire men to be compassionate partners to themselves, their families and our future.
